This was going to be some big, epic thing. Well. It was going to be some simple one shot and then I got carried away and made it into some big, epic thing. And then I did what I do best. I lost it. I made it too dramatised. I took a break and the flare was gone. It's not finished. But I'm posting it anyway, tomorrow. At least the first part. I'm taking a break from bandom for a while. I don't really know if I'll come back to this journal much, after this. I have
jacintertwined waiting for me on standby. But I've had this sitting in my hard drive since I met
dancinginastorm and I think it needs to be posted.
These are the planned parts.
Completed.Started.Prologue - William sees Gabe.
Part One - William and Gabe meet.
Part Two - William tells Gabe part of his life. (This was more of a continuation of part one that I wasn't quite sure how to write, so it never got written.)
Part Three - William is disoriented.
Part Four - The boys go dancing. (Our favorite.)
Part Five - William finishes his story. (This sort of ended up being William's
whole story. Well, most of it. I think fleshing this part out more (it's only 500 or so words) would negate part two, but it was written when I was sort of losing the story, and never got finished.)
Part Six - They stop dancing. (This was where it was all leading to. Alas, never written, nor were any of the proceding parts)
Epilogue - (Would spoil the surprise, but whatever, it's not going to be written any time soon.) William moves in with Gabe.
Coda's:
A - Gabe sees William. A series of scenes. Alternate prologue, if you will.
B - Gabe meets Brendon. (Probably would have been my favorite. It was going to be an epic lovestory all on it's own.)
C - William gets kicked out.
D - Tales from Gabe's apartment. (Gabe's apartment is like, the best place ever. It's this shitty little place, but he lives with Nate, and Travis is there like, all the fucking time, even though he doesn't live there. It's just kind of amazing.)
E - William practicing for exams. (I've written a part of this, but I wanted to flesh it out somewhat (since I wrote it in a draft on my phone during a study lesson) but it was basically going to be porn. Now you're wondering what the exam even is hey? haha. Just dancing. But Gabe is there, so, y'know, porn happens.)
Then, because I just don't know when to stop, we have all these other coda's that pertain to the verse, but aren't part of the main story line at all.
Borders - Oh the Bordersverse. I wanted it to be some little quaint non-chain coffeehouse or something. But then I was thinking about who works there. And we've got Patrick, and he's gotta be in charge of music somehow, so there's a music section. And Jon! Where else can Jon work but as a barista? And then there's Spencer and Ryan. Who take care of the books and the register. But where's Pete?! Oh he's just there every day, stalking Patrick of course. And there's Music Nights! Which are key to coda B where Gabe and Brendon meet. Borders just seemed to fit. Maybe it was the first? You never know
Jac and Audrey - I love them okay. And this was just gonna be some cute little thing about how they met.
The Lucient Dossier Dancers! - Roger is in charge of the school, while Dusty is one of the dance teachers, who is also having an affair of sorts with Katie Kay, one of the students and also William's dance partner.
MikeyWay the interpretive dancer - I just needed to have it, okay?
Okay, yeah. See how deep into this I got? Well, "deep into planning". Only I didn't make up a cohesive and coherent plot, something that just needed to be fleshed out. And I think that was my downfall.
